Foreigner on Employment Pass - I/C application.

By Butch
Documents required are:
No need for photos. It will be taken there at the IC office. So wear something nice
Passport
B$20.00 - which is $5 for Photo, and $15 for IC processing

Go to the I/C Section on the ground floor
Get a number from the first counter immediately upon entering that section.
The I/C section is divided into two sections, one for locals and the other for foreigners. Make sure you tell the person giving you the number that you are making a Green I/C otherwise you could be given a number for the wrong queue.
When your number is called proceed to the counter to pay the fees and have your thumb print taken. You will be given a temporary I/C usually valid for one month. After one month you are to return to collect your I/C. The I/C is usually valid to the date specified on your employment pass.
Make your I/C within one month from the day you get your employment pass or you may risk a fine of $50.00.

Hint: Go there by 7:30am and you will have the whole thing done by 8:30am. Note that the I/C section only opens its door at 8:00am but a queue would already have formed outside. The idea is to get there before the employment agents come with their army of clients. In many instances, getting there at 8:00am would result in wait of at least 2 hours.
